The jump was the best I'd ever hit in Scotland and was great to ride with Lewis McWilliam, Angus Trinder and all the other guys from up north. I qualified 1st into finals which I was really stoked with. The format for the finals was 2 runs, best run counts. Sadly I sketched out pretty bad on one of the rails at the top of the course and missed the grab on my first run which put on a bit of pressure for my second run.<br />
In the rail section I managed to get a 180 on 180 off to the top box into a pretzel 270 off the flat bar. Then on the jumps I was really pleased to land a switch right 720 mute into a switch left 540 safety. In the end I got 1st in the 13-16 age category and 1st overall which I was so stoked with! Here's the link to an edit of the full day- <span class="userContent"><a href="https://vimeo.com/60648372" rel="nofollow nofollow" target="_blank">https://vimeo.com/60648372</a>. Unfortunately we only got one day in the park but was still amazing as the jump was huge and managed to get a few tricks. Luckily the rest of the days were spent riding some really nice powder and helped me work on some technique. Was also good to get some new pictures out there, check them out!(Thanks to Neil MacGrain for the pictures)<br />

Also thanks to all of my sponsors, HEAD, Animal, Bawbags, Snow factor, Librance, Planks and NMG Photography for providing me with all of my kit and for helping me get out there! Finally a big thanks to the Birnee Trust for the grant I received this month, was really helpful!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2512299295584354325.post-40888656839040346692012-11-20T14:13:00.001-08:002012-11-20T14:13:40.474-08:00The Scottish Dryslope ChampsHad an amazing weekend at the Scottish dryslope champs at Bearsden. Slope was running really well and managed to get 1st in the under 16's category and 2nd Overall. Was so pleased with this as there was some really sick riders there. In my finals runs I got a cork 9 tail and a switch 9 mute that were some of the best I've done. <br />
Thanks to Neil MacGrain for organising the comp.<br />

Even with this I still got 3rd in the 13-16 category which is still a good result.</div>

</div><div>This is my new and current Blog, so remember to check it out regularly for updates on stuff.</div><div>I'm just back from 2 weeks in Laax Switzerland which were sick!! </div><div>1st week was the training camp where I was training for the British championships. I got quite a few new tricks on the big kickers and had a lot of fun riding with everyone.</div><div>Next week was the British Champs and first up was Pipe. I got my run in qualifiers and got through to finals in 8th place. Then in finals got my run even better and got 6th place overall and 2nd in my category(13-16). I was really stoked with this result.</div><div>I took skicross off as a day to practice for the more important slopestyle. On the day of Slopestyle the speed was really difficult as always causing me to crash in my first run. I then decided to play it really safe and put down an easy and solid run to get me through to finals. I qualified 9th and practice was only 2 runs. On these 2 runs I tried to do my run on the big kickers and knuckled every hit. Meaning when it came to my first finals run, I had to hit the medium jumps which I hadn't hit all week, so I took it as an opportunity to learn the speed and do the stuff on my next run. So I did this and got my run which I was sort of pleased with. In the end I got 9th overall and 2nd in my category(13-16). Was quite disappointed as I feel that if I had landed my run on the big kickers I would have done better but 2nd is still a good result for me.</div><div>The last day was Big Air and the speed was good and the Kicker was amazing. I did a switch 5 truck and a switch 9 safety in qualifiers which got me into the finals in 9th place. The finals were a different format though, it was 3 runs best 2 count but they have to be different tricks. So I did a switch 9 safety then a cork 7 mute which I wasn't happy with so I did another cork 7 mute and got it. I ended up 8th place overall and 3rd in the my category.(13-16) I was really stoked with all of my results this year at the Brits as I was the youngest of an insanely difficult category.</div><div>Thanks to all the people who took the pics!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiQ15iny_FoWfJWTUNqCkSIMAQ7vwDUyok6ssLOzoKLI-ONcj_Tvxa-TS9KenFhup8NCPVV6fHc3PJFQg-wXM5d6PAko0vphMJ-PtO0hQTxtMzAyioespjF92pv1UPgOdzDE-4lEblc-i8/s1600/head+3+jpn.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiQ15iny_FoWfJWTUNqCkSIMAQ7vwDUyok6ssLOzoKLI-ONcj_Tvxa-TS9KenFhup8NCPVV6fHc3PJFQg-wXM5d6PAko0vphMJ-PtO0hQTxtMzAyioespjF92pv1UPgOdzDE-4lEblc-i8/s320/head+3+jpn.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br />
